Banana Date Smoothie


Here is the recipe for my vegan banana date breakfast smoothie:

1 frozen banana
2 pitted dates
1 cup almond milk
Pinch of cinnamon 
Scoop of Almond butter

Headstand Practice

So this is the first time I have been able to do a headstand without a wall behind me and without flipping over. Still keep a few pillows there just in case. Nobody wants to land on their back from 5 feet up. Practice practice practice and the pose will come when you are ready.

Stretch Time

Flexibility does not come easily to me. In fact a year ago I am pretty sure that I could barely reach below my knees. It is something that I work at every single day.

I find the best time to stretch is after a hot shower or steam, your muscles are loose and it is much more comfortable to stretch however be careful not to overstretch (the heat gives you a false sense of flexibility).


Crow

Crow is always a work in progress for me, I can never seem to get my arms straight and stay in the pose without nearly falling on my face.

This was the first arm balance I somewhat successfully stuck.


The Dreaded Camel Pose

For whatever reason I find this pose to be the most uncomfortable pose in my entire practice. It seems to never get easier, my back never seems to become more flexible, and the entire time I'm in it I find myself counting down the breaths until I can release.

Maybe this one will come with time.
